[h2]A barebones extraction RPG that fails to make its core loop compelling[/h2] ⛔ [b][i]Extremely shallow gameplay[/i][/b] Unfortunately, the gameplay is very barebones. Each character only has a few cooldowns to manage, and most fights are so easy that you can basically just sit back and watch them happen. There's very little decision-making involved. ⛔ [b][i]Barebones quests & story[/i][/b] The quests are mostly uninspired "kill X" and "collect Y" checklists, which makes the progression feel pretty tedious. The story doesn't do much to make things more interesting either. ⛔ [b][i]The extraction loop doesn't work[/i][/b] The game wants to be an extraction-based RPG, but there's almost no risk involved in staying out in the world. There's no real incentive to venture further from town, and you can just return whenever you want. I never came close to losing a character or any of my gear. That's a huge problem for an extraction game. There needs to be some reason to weigh the risk of staying out longer against the rewards you could get, but [i]Skills & Raids[/i] doesn't really have that tension. The game is fun and ideal for bite-sized sessions, the extraction part works well and the exploration can get you stressed a bit sometimes when trying to reach camp, the old "Do I extract now or try my luck a little more for precious resources" is definitely there. Combat is a mix between an autobattler and manual skill management, almost like a faster paced Darkest Dungeon The different skills you discover or craft do make a difference and offer great synergy between party members. An extraction loop takes 5 to 10 minutes, which is ideal for short gaming sessions. All in all, really good fun !

Skills & Raids delivers an engaging blend of extraction mechanics and auto-battling RPG combat, rewarding thoughtful party building and risk management with tense, satisfying expeditions. A party‑based extraction RPG loaded with new abilities, fresh squad synergies, & tough real‑time challenges. I had fun with this :)

I really like this game. The look and feel of it are great, and it’s quite t of fun if you’re into strategy and skill-based games. Just be careful, because you might lose your loot if you’re not paying attention! Overall, I’ve really enjoyed playing it and would definitely recommend giving it a try.
