About MORTARMEN

✦ AI summary

Master physics-based movement—sliding, dodging, bunny-hopping, and more—to outmaneuver enemies in this fast-paced tactical shooter set during a 2030 space race war between superpowers. Chain your velocity into devastating attacks while wielding portable mortars with shell-mounted cameras to deny territory and dominate the tug-of-war for sector control across sprawling island battlefields.

MORTARMEN is a movement based tactical PvP first and third person shooter based in 2030, pitting the New American Coalition versus United Communist Front in a battle for control, as part of an ongoing global space race war.✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ High stakes genre blending arcade and tactical action
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Chainable movement mechanics: Slide, dodge roll, bunny hop, parachuting, and climbing
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Velocity based damage, higher the speed, higher the risk
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Portable mortars with mortar shell cameras
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Tactical tablet to equip weaponry, view satellite map, and HALO jump to sectors
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Varied island levels from small to large scale combat
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Take a gamble and feign your death
✪ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ Stay out of outhouses
All soldiers are able to equip themselves with a portable mortar from their tablet, although skill levels vary, they're easy to use and hard to master. To better aid in target acquisition, cameras are attached to mortar shells until destroyed by impact. Their major role plays into denying sector control and keeping enemies at bay once they're honed in, communication is key to avoid any unforeseen consequences.Factions battle it out on varied islands, all fighting for control of villages, outposts, and other points of interest in order to gain initiative to bleed the other team dry of reinforcements. Although any sector can be captured at any time, they must be linked to their factions' main base to gain any sector points; this gives opportunities for soldiers to break links of vital sectors to prevent the enemy team from maintaining initiative in the tug of war.New American Coalition is a combination task force between United States of America and Canada, their core objective is to capture territories across the world where presence of plutonium may have been sighted. Any trace of it will have the NAC calling, in order to further boost their space travel and technological advancements.United Communist Front is a merged Russian and Chinese alliance, begrudgingly working together to bolster their independent space agencies, they've already destroyed most of the competing satellites in low orbit, with their sights on space stations and beyond, they won't stop until they get a foothold above their adversaries and acquire further plutonium in this newly charged space race.

An awesome game that takes me back to the good ole days where games were fun. We need more devs that are willing to make great games like this. Also I can bunny hop and slide faster than the Flash in this game 10/10

I have played this game for only a few hours and its insanely fun. Its quick paced and the movement is fluid, fast and fun. Its a conquest style, base capture rounds. You can setup mortar launchers to assault a position and then move in swiftly and try and take it over. Playing offensively and defensively with mortars is surprisingly fun and adds an element to the genre I havent felt before. Looking forward to all the patches and development from this team!

So far a lot of fun especially if you're tired of the same old cycle with call of duty and want something that gives you the same arcade shooter like feeling the old call of duty's did. Of course, it's a completely different game to games like MW2, 3 and BO1&2 but frankly, this game's multiplayer gameplay gives me more fun than a lot of modern "arcade" shooters that are trying harder to be realistic than providing good playability. Movement is fun and pretty smooth, guns feel good, updates are frequent and the dev team works hard to give you what you want. Great job overall, haven't played a hell of a lot but from what I've seen, I like the direction the game is going.
