The Journey Down: Chapter Two takes everything that made the first chapter work and drops it into a much richer, moodier world. Developed and published by SkyGoblin, this point-and-click adventure expands the series’ distinctive Afro-noir atmosphere without losing the humor and charm that made its characters so memorable. If you enjoyed Chapter One, Chapter Two is an easy recommendation. (Even if I found myself wishing it would slow down and let me spend more time in its world) Chapter Two picks up Bwana, Kito, and Lina’s journey as they continue searching for the mysterious Underland and answers surrounding Bwana’s father. Their travels bring them to the foggy city of Port Artue, where their search quickly becomes tangled up with pirates, local authorities, and a much larger conspiracy. It raises the stakes from Chapter One without abandoning the lighthearted personality of the series, and it feels like a natural continuation rather than an entirely separate adventure. The second game in the series with more gameplay, puzzles and a larger map as well. The Jazz score is quite good and is available separately as well. The mechanics are the same from the previous game in this series. This chapter is longer and its a welcome change. The story continuation is done well and though you can spot the story quite easily, the game is still fun to play. - 7/10

Picking up immediately after the first chapter, the game follows Bwana, Kito, and Lina as they venture beneath the Edge in search of the mythical Underland while unraveling the mystery surrounding Bwana's missing father. Their investigation leads them to the gloomy harbor settlement of Port Artue, a place filled with corruption, hidden agendas, and colorful personalities. The sequel successfully broadens both the scope of the narrative and the world itself, making the journey feel like a meaningful progression rather than simply another episode. One of the game's defining qualities is its remarkable visual style. Drawing inspiration from African art, Afro-Caribbean culture, and classic adventure games, every environment is filled with distinctive architecture, expressive character designs, and richly painted scenery. Some of the puzzles are a bit obtuse, but it's still fun, and the setting is still outstanding.
