[h1]Disclaimer[/h1] I finished regular campaign on normal. It seems DLC is basically the same game just with different units. [h1]TL;DR[/h1] Basic doesn't feel the right word. It's so basic that it's unremarkable. Only worth it on a steep sale if you don't mind playing missions that feel one step above skirmish, but not like actual proper campaign. Will take about 10h to finish it all on normal. [h1]Description[/h1] Classic RTS, has a bit of a C&C feel. 1 faction only. Classic military units. Resources are gathered from oil drills (neutral indestructible buildings) and transported to refinery which turns it to cash. You can expand building range by placing any building close to the current area edge. You can increase production speed for units by building more production facilities for that unit. It also works for the game's superweapon - the nuke. More silos - faster nuke cooldown. Campaign is a linear sequence of missions with 1 main objective and 2 additional objectives you can finish if you play on a normal or hard difficulty. A solid, old-school, slightly ugly RTS game, like a low-poly/minecraft-style C&C clone. Units are cheaper compared to C&C, so yes, you will often command many of them. But the claim made in some reviews here, that there was no rock/paper/scissors element to them, and its all just about mass, I do not agree. It may seem like that in the first 3 missions, but once you get helicopters and advanced tech, this is obvisouly not true. The campaign has a bit of a skirmish/multi-player feeling: symmetrical maps, no real story to speak of, in later maps against several enemies and sometimes with AI allies. So if you're here for a C&C-style SP campaign, you may not be very happy. But I have to say, I would have preferred such a campaign, no doubt -- but this one also grew on me. Think of it as some kind of gradual skirmish/MP training. I liked the bonus objectives that unlock permanent extra start units. Overall I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. It may not be StarCraft II quality, but it is definitely fun. I recommend it IF you like old-school RTS and can live with the graphics style.

C&C but pixelated

6/10 - Very bland. There is no reason to play this instead of C&C.
