Children of Silentown

A "meh" rating on this one for me, perhaps 6/10... What I liked: 1. It was fun running from place to place, gathering useful items and implementing them. This was quite intuitive in the 1st half of the game. 2. The story of apparent evil lurking in the woods was interesting, along with the hysteria among the town adult residents. 3. The "thread the needle" and reflective puzzles were amusing and logical. What I don't like: 1. The logic grew thin on what to do with collected implements as the game progressed. Some of it degraded into moon logic. 2. The gear and maze puzzles drove me crazy and instructions for them are poorly described. Walkthrough videos saved me here. 3. The graphics are rustic..stick figures with no hands nor feet, basic watercolor type scenery. I prefer more sophisticated graphics in the game. Overall, it was worth the effort but I won't be playing it again nor anything similar from this developer.

I really enjoyed this game. I got stuck once because there aren't very many hints on what you need to do. In one case you have to walk in a very specific place and I don't know if I would have ever figured that out on my own. I do like that there are multiple endings and the achievements have a good range of things to do. Overall I spend around 40 hours on this game. Definitely worth playing.

beautiful point and click game. the art style is amazing and story is really good. theres 4 different endings, which is different from usual Daedalec games, and they all make sense and leave you feeling that the story is indeed complete.

couldnt wait for this game to end. might be fun for some individuals but it genuinely just gave me a headache. repetitive, frustrating gameplay and predictable story outcome.
