LoveKami -Divinity Stage-

Recommended if you want a light, idol-themed visual novel with a supernatural twist and a lot of cute, flirty comedy. LoveKami -Divinity Stage- is not trying to be deep or dramatic most of the time—it’s more like a colorful anime episode you read at your own pace. The story takes place in a world where gods have become less important to people, so the remaining goddesses try to fit into modern society in different ways. Here the focus is on Akihabara and the whole “divine idol” scene, where goddesses can literally be pop stars and compete for attention, fans, and stage time. You play a pretty normal guy who gets pulled into this idol chaos, and the plot quickly turns into auditions, training, jealousy, and lots of daily-life moments with supernatural girls who act very human when they’re not showing off their powers. The setting is mostly an excuse to keep the pace upbeat and keep the cast together. The best part is the characters and how different their routes feel. Each heroine has her own personality and style—one is more energetic and ambitious, another is playful and showy, another feels like the “main idol” type—and the game leans into romance and teasing depending on who …

It's a short cute series, can be finished in under a day if you clear out your schedule for the day, it's not going to ask you any deep questions and that's perfectly fine, I've only played the first two as of this review, and both are fairly similar, can't judge the third one yet but am expecting it to be more or less the same.

Honestly seemed like a fun little Visual Novel that was sitting in my backlog for years Finally played it, it wasnt exactly what I expected It had a decent story, a basic one, but a decent one and the game itself didnt take that long. I think its worth the play whether you already have it, or you find it on sale and decide you want a fun Idol based Visual Novel with romance and some faan service! Anyways, 7/10 Worth the playthrough!

It's alright if you're into this sort of thing. Story didn't really pull me in, but seems well written enough. I don't think there are nearly enough choices to make though.

Some of the scenes in this game include: [i]Oh no! It seems while trying to save this cute girl from falling over, the two of us both ended up falling to the ground, tangled together, and unable to escape! It doesn't truly matter to the plot in any way and only gets mentioned a couple of times, but it provides a reason our girls wear school uniforms a lot (even though we don't even really see them at school). And, I mean, basically it's a lot of flimsy excuses for fanservice to happen, but in a way that's fitting enough …
