Code Name: Origin

Developed and published by Aurora Games Studio, Code Name: Origin is a retro-inspired top-down action adventure that pays tribute to the classic games of the late 1980s and early 1990s while introducing a science fiction mystery of its own. Players are dispatched by the Deep Space Federation to investigate a military frigate that has mysteriously gone silent after sending a distress signal. Upon arrival, the mission quickly turns into a dangerous solo operation where every corridor, abandoned facility, and hostile encounter gradually reveals clues about the catastrophe that unfolded. The game embraces a straightforward narrative, allowing the atmosphere and exploration to tell much of the story instead of relying on lengthy dialogue or cinematic sequences.
