The Story

At the end of the millennial war, when all the cemeteries were overcrowded with the bodies of the dead, came the one who was called The King. Thanks to his unyielding will, The King managed to subdue and unite all the lands. The Kingdom appeared, and the era of the Human began.
The King ruled wisely and fairly, but his time on this land ran out: Death came after him. But the will of The King was so strong that he could deny Death.
He grew so proud that he humiliated Death itself. The idea of the overwhelming power and immortality didn't leave his mind. The King realized that power over the living was not enough for him.
The King decided to get the powerful artefact known as the Death Crown. Thus begins the War of the Death Crown.

✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's minimalist art style and streamlined RTS-tower defense gameplay that's easy to pick up and fun to play. The main complaint is that the game is quite short, though the Domination mode offers more challenging replayability for those seeking extended playtime.

apprehensive at first about the initial release offering burning eye hole blindness *white* there is also now "negative", (white on black) and many other 1-bit (2 color) monochrome offerings now with the recent "color" addition, the gameplay feels less willing to suffer the player perspective the heavy dithered cutscenes are exceedingly enjoyable to witness although a basic RTS with limited resources and units it offers a surprising challenge at times... "strategy" is the obvious key advantage here. i am off to dominate more of the living souls and reap them of this mortal plane GNU/Linux -- proton 10.0-4

Cute and compact RTS experience that is still being tweaked as of writing. A real gem I must return to and finally finish and enjoy as much as its makers do.

This game is a fun, bit-sized RTS game. The objective is to defeat the opponent's castle before they do yours, via overwhelming their structures and army with your own. There are three options for building: mines (money), barracks/graveyard (troops), and towers (defense). There are a few other things that come into play later during the campaigns, as well. As you can see from my play time, the game is quite short. My gameplay not only includes campaign time, but also a while on Domination mode. Some of the campaign fights have unique mechanics that made them quite interesting. I was able to beat both campaigns without any losses or restarts, but the Domination mode can be a lot more difficult. I think Domination mode would take up the most time, but far. Visually, this game is quite striking. There's the black-and-white option you see here, as well as a colorful one. The cutscenes are still in black-and-white, but I that didn't affect my experience at all. I think the colorful version of the game is better to play, and better on the eyes. The soundtrack was fitting, but I mostly heard one track the whole time I played. Luckily, the game is quite short, so neither the sound nor …

Art is nice, especially cutscenes, but gameplay is a bit basic and lasts only ~2-3 hours of playtime, which is not worth original price imo. I bought it on 80% discount and i'm still not sure if it was worth the time i put into learning it.
