A great retelling of the original game's story with quite possibly the best combat of the series imo. Also, no crashes! (technically I did have some, but they were due to mods so not the game's fault) It's a shame that this was the last mainline game to come out, but what a great last hurrah it is!

Good game

If you came here expecting to play a 2.5D side scrolling beat em up like the 3DS, this is not your game. The graphics are beautiful, much more expressive than the original release: you get story animations, visually improved transformations, and QoL improvements like difficulty selection for missions and the need of searching for hidden scrolls in every level instead of doing the same mission with all girls + frantic versions to get 100%. But the camera and combat? It's a different game from the original. It may be good to 1vs1 fight someone with that camera angle, but when you are surrounded by 20 enemies hitting on you at the same time you'll see you need to step back, look around your surroundings, to prevent the camera to block your sight with a wall or decoration that's non-destructible. The combos are the same as the original, control wise, it plays the same. But the angle take in this game turned what should be a frenetic game into an ecchi soulslike where you need to parry against normal enemies to find a spot to hit them without getting gangbanged. And don't even talk to me about enemies that attack on a distance: good luck seeing them in the crowd of enemies you have…

I told myself to stop playing gacha games as they make me waste money and time on 3D anime girls with bouncy tits and here I am playing this game that way more fanservice than any of the gacha games ive played . This was a pretty decent game to get 100% Achievements on, Hack N Slash was my favourite genre so I was going to like this game every character is fun to play as except for Mirai. Hikage, Katsuragi and Ikaruga are bad asf. The story telling ranges from genuine text on your screen, to illiustrations that are cool to in game dialouge that looks a bit choppy. 7.5/10 would recommend
