Tis nice when i find a little hidden gem somewhere in the wilds. This I can say is one of them. Its clearly not for everyone being a linear visual novel with minimal 3D interaction... luckily i am a fan of linear VNs. But if you are not a fan of immersive picture stories with relaxing music I don't think this is for you. But honestly I am glad I found this, honestly for 5$ (also the sequel) its not the worst thing to throw my money at. The story is cute, not attempting to be groundbreaking. I enjoyed it for what it was, seems this writer likes to pull tear jerkers towards the end. I found everything it did effective and was only as long as it needed to be. I see most people complaining about the VR elements being minimal, but honestly I had no problem with this. It interacts like most VNs. The main thing I found this to do was heighten my immersion. I tend to get more immersed in novels than i do in most games, VNs especially suck me in. So being in the scene helped a lot to cement it. Game is good, I plan to check out the developers other games now.

Both games (Innocent Forest 1 and 2) were amazing, funny enough I played them in the wrong order, but honestly I think playing 2 first then 1 made more of an impact, absolutely amazing story, had me holding back tears in both games, highly recommended for those that enjoy visual novels, quite reminds me of "key"'s Visual novels.

This story is usually dirt cheap, and while it is rather predictable and doesn't take full advantage of VR, being there in the story adds so much. I feel like a few more scenes could have gotten an animation, or at least a 3D modeled space, but the story was nice enough I can forgive it.

Pros: + A very touching story + Great character development + Very fitting and emotional soundtrack Cons: - Only 1 short scene contains animated characters. - The rest is book reading, the background is 360 degree spherical map with no depth. Was kind of disappointed initially with how it's such a waste of VR potential, but the great story far outweighs the downsides. The story is played and completed in one hour. Overall I'd recommend it.
