About A Walk in the Woods
Most of humanity lives in urban environments. Some regions of Earth, such as Europe, are almost completely urbanized and the plots of land not affected by man are practically absent. We cannot stop the urbanization, but we can “open a window” into a virtual reality and give everyone an opportunity to, for example, stroll through the summer forest. Yes, this is not an alternative to a real walk, but when there is no other option - our app is the best solution to escape from everyday stress and get out into the nature.
There are no monsters to kill, no riddles to solve - it is not that type of game. It is a virtual escape where you can hide from the monotonous daily routine and enjoy the nature. Our project uses the most advanced technologies that allows to create a picture that is as close as possible to reality.
Since this product is experimental, your opinion and constructive suggestions are extremely important to us! Even if we don’t add them to this game, we will take notes and try to implement suggested features in our next game.

Yes. However, due to the low frame rate, you may develop motion sickness. If so, just put the headset off for a while and take a break. \

Simple but valuable. I use it with my treadmill (quest 3 using Remote Desktop) so I actually get a walk. Note to developers: While I understand that you want to make your promo video visually interesting by adding visual effects, I can't image using this game if it looked like your promo video....

Визуальный стиль в пиксель-арте приятен глазу, а мягкая цветовая палитра создает ощущение спокойствия и умиротворения. Геймплей представляет собой неспешную прогулку по лесу, наполненную небольшими загадками и диалогами. Хотя история довольно проста, она заставляет задуматься о важных вещах: дружбе, одиночестве и связи с природой. Музыкальное сопровождение идеально дополняет атмосферу, делая путешествие по виртуальному лесу еще более захватывающим. Особенно понравились случайные встречи с другими персонажами, каждый из которых по-своему уникален и интересен. Игра не займет много времени, но оставит после себя приятное послевкусие и желание почаще выбираться на природу. Рекомендую всем, кто ищет расслабляющий и медитативный игровой опыт. Это замечательный способ немного отвлечься от суеты и просто насладиться тишиной и красотой виртуального леса.
i expected this to be a horror game. its not. you just walk in the forest.
I liked this but wanted more. A beautiful forest like advertised but I was able to walk the whole area in 12 minutes. But it is a free game so I wasn't expecting something huge. Walking speed is very casual so if that drives you nuts then you will want to avoid this. If you like walking sims it might be worth a try otherwise skip this one.
It's short and sweet, beautiful and relaxing AND IT's FREE. I would love to be able to create environments like this. I'm hesitant to offer suggestions for improvement, but I do have one. The camera/player position bobs up and down as you move (due to collision with rocks and roots on the ground?) if the collision was removed from these objects, the player would have a smoother walk. (terrain collision on, plus invisible walls maybe?) Players are used to this kind of motion inn VR games, but I find it especially jarring in such a relaxing experience. I want to acknowledge the dev(s) have clearly put hundreds of hours of work into creating and updating this, and then gifted it to VR users for free. That's awesome. Devs, YOU'RE awesome. Thanks again for a great VR experience.
