Rosas are Red

I loved it. The dialogue is great, Full of character and depth. The story is great and feels very plausible. The artwork is adorable and steamy in just the right amounts. The voice acting is AMAZING. They really outdid themselves with that. I suggest buying the deluxe version since it comes with all the artwork and voice lines, even some that were not used in the game. The ability to have 3 different "good" endings is really a treat too. It lets you worry more about what type of relationship you want with Rosa rather than trying to get a "good" ending. I left the game feeling like I wish I could find a Rosa of my own. Cute girl who likes anime and video games, who you help her anxiety by just being available for her, who also likes to do spicy stuff with you. That sounds like a dream relationship to me.

Cute little eroge featuring Rosa. No sex scenes, but it's a cute, lewd romp and includes some rather fun Third Crisis references. Paparazzi achievement is a slog, but there's a gallery unlock if you're impatient. Game is well worth its price, especially on sale.

I saw some reviews talking about how this isn't a particularly long game - and it isn't!! It's a vn with a unique delivery method (those who have played the texting minigame in Crush Crush will recognize this as that without the microtransaction timers) so it's paced out around 3 hours all told. But there are plenty of games that will simply fill time. This game is quality over quantity. I could tell that it was handmade with love by human beings, which is something that's important to me. It also does a fantastic job of letting you feel immersed. You have the freedom to really play "as yourself" no matter who you are, really. And yes, dolls, if you're like me and your cold, tired heart fluttered with some hope when I said that, I do mean there's an option to have it. It's been a long, long time since I played a game that set my little heart aflutter and my little thang enlarged, but Rosas are Red was made with all the cloying sweetness and sexual adventurousness of young love.
