Hourglass

I noticed a lot of reviews mentioning the Talos Principle and Portal, and then that leads to disagreement as to whether Hourglass needs to be "that good" or whether it's fair to compare it and hold it to that standard. Guys, this is just a bad game. It's a very low effort, going through the motions, knock-off, coat-tail type of game. If "fake it 'til you make it' were a game. The puzzles are very yada-yada: simple, or tedious, or both. The developer is not even a little bit invested in the premise, the world, the character, the setting, etc. There's also a lot of 'waiting' baked into the mechanics, since most puzzles are some form of baton-pass where your clone has to act first, and then you move in parallel to 'sync up' with your clone. Would I spend time on it if it were free? I would not.

While this is superficially similar to games like Talos Principle or portal, this lacks a lot of the hooks that kept me playing those games such as the dialogue or philosophical intrigue, this is mostly a silent puzzle game which given it follows much of the same logic of these games renders it fairly boring if you've already played these games

probably good but i'm too dumb to figure out the puzzles.

this game is fun at first and then very quickly becomes not fun at all. It goes from needing actual brain power to solve puzzles, to having to time everything ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY in order to solve. Ended up not finishing it because WALKING (not running, there is no running in the game at all) back and fourth trying to do one task was not at all fun. Watched a video of the ending because I wanted to know what happened with the story, and omg wow give us nothing slay. Super dissapointing

Fun puzzle solving game, Instead of having a co-op partner assist with the puzzles, you instead rely on a replication of your own self doing a series of actions in a short period of time. It is rewarding to solve a puzzle and be able to continue on exploring, but sometimes the puzzles can be a little outside the box. I think the level of challenge is pretty fair.
