I really cant recommend this game. The controls are clunky and the story is bleh. The animations arent even all that great. I eventually gave up playing when i found a game breaking bug. The voiceovers are absolutely awful with no emotion behind it all. There are much better free games out there.

I did not bother to finish this - it crashed my PC bad enough I had to use task manager to close steam because everything froze up. That being said, the story was not enough to make me WANT to finish anyway, gameplay was typical 15 year old average gameplay - actually I'd believe it if I was told this game was from the 2008-2010 era

"Samira: Taken From Time" feels more like it's from 2013 instead of 2023... it's a "free" game but it has me wondering if this is a tech demo or some kind of student project? What do you do in the game? This is a third person platform where you help some ancient robot bug (I know, it makes no sense) by doing some godawfully clunky platforming. Or not. This is not a quality game, although at least visually it's head and shoulders above literally thousands of garbage 2D pixelcrap games on Steam. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. On the matter of pricing and value for gamers, most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's often nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game.
