Even my heavy bias toward cute furry games isn't enough to save this one. The weakest part is the writing. Sure the English translation is rough, but even if that part were perfect, it wouldn't fix the overall script. The characters have absolutely nothing going for them, and the whole "getting stronger" part is cheesy at best. In terms of gameplay, it adds a cool mechanic where you can equip items to your weapons and armor for stat buffs. This would be great, except the game gives you very, very few different types of equipment, and a surplus of materials. Add to this the length (less than 3 hours for 2 different endings) and the very easy difficulty, and even the coolest mechanic hardly gets its time to shine. Character art is excellent and the music is fine. But if you're looking for (furry) turn based rpgs, there are much better options out there.

As much as I wanted to like this game, it comes up short in too many aspects. First of all, I'll say what I liked. The art style, sprite work and illustrations are absolutely gorgeous, no joke. The characters are adorable but only in the visual department. While the gameplay is basic, it worked just fine for me. Its your typical JRPG turn-based battle stuff. Its functional. Now onto the dislikes. Unfortunately, most of the game comes up short. The writing is quite basic and dare I say juvenile at times, as if this is the creator's first time ever writing a story. The translation into English was, for the most part, alright. However, the overall story, character writing and dialogue left a lot to be desired. It seems like this premise would work better as a platformer rather than a JRPG. Add onto that the overall length of the game. Its barely 4 hours long! It simply isn't worth a full $10.00 with how much you get out of it. I'd say wait for this game to go on sale, but I've had this in my wishlist for several years now and I've never seen it go on sale at all... An rpgmaker game specifically geared for people who enjoy cute kemono style characters and simple RPGs, not much else to it really. The game is pretty short and the plot is pretty simple, if you have a few hours to kill and the art style appeals to you (honestly if you even found this game on steam I’d say it appeals to you) then you’ll probably want to at least check it out. The combat is simple and the equipment upgrading system is interesting enough but since it’s so short you can pretty much slap attack increasing items on everything and annihilate anything in your way the entire game. The environments feature lush, “default rpgmaker asset” forests and castles but they did a competent enough job with it I can forgive it. The music is pretty good for what it is, but when it comes to the sound effects I swear one of the menu select sounds is a fire alarm chirp. The things I can’t really forgive the game for I’d say is the fact it crashes every 10 minutes or so and the English translation is terrible, it’s not “beautiful duwang” tier terrible (honestly if it was that’d probably make it more entertaining) but it’s just pretty bad.
