Mighty Forest

Gotta be one of the worst games I ever played. I didn't know you can even mess up a basic walking sim, guess I was wrong.

Mighty Forest is a janky, boring 8 min run from point to point adventure. + Decent, distinct visual style * Walk to predefined point, watch cutscene, repeat * 8 min walkthrough - Zero player onboarding or guidance - Janky visuals, janky audio, janky controls - "Magic" walls to temporarily block progression - Bad cutscene pacing - Nonsense/Bad text and story - Awful 25s generic music snippet loop - No other sound - You can end up [url=https://www.youtube.com/shorts/27JyByWON6o]air-surfing and being thrown across the surface[/url] - Inverted mouse; no way to change - No settings at all - Released 2021, not a single update Text highlights: “Ancient ruins, when life flourished here.” - what? “The house is already close, we need to hurry” - House? I'm a wolf. Why do I find, sleep next to, and wake up next to a fire? Probably a bad translation of "going home" (mentioned earlier). But no indication of what home is supposed to be. After the beginning is in a cave, I assumed maybe that, but no, it's a big empty grass field where some other wolves turn up. Walking is super slow. Running is slow. This is a short and cute little game, and I like the concept, but unfortunately there are two things that just completely ruin the game for me. Firstly, the mouse mechanics/controls are horrible, making it quite difficult to move around, and secondly, I kept on falling off the map and glitching inside of objects. If those two things were improved (and maybe some more content added as well) then Mighty Forest would be a lovely game.

This game has potential, but the invert mouse control is a bit of a mess. There aren't any settings to control audio, video, or controls—unless I missed them. Also, not sure if it’s a bug, but when I jumped on one of the stones in the ruins, it launched the wolf, haha! I’m recommending this game purely because it’s cheap, great for killing time, and it’s about wolves.
