This game is really fun. It gets really challenging. I wish there was other players on. This would be a really fun online game. Either way, the campaign is fun. Really simple controls, but takes skill to get good at.1 found this helpful

The gameplay has potential that is ultimately ruined by the fact that sometimes the game doesn't register any of my button presses at all. For example, sometimes you can dash and attack immediately and sometimes you can't, sometimes you can attack back to back and sometimes you cant. sometimes you can dodge an upcoming attack and other times it just doesn't register at all. sometimes you can move your hand position whilst moving back and forth but other times you have to let go of the movement so that the hand position functionality returns. Sometimes you can parry an attack by moving your hand to the right position but sometimes when you move it it doesn't move at all. the only weapon that almost didn't have this issue was the starting dagger, even though it still had the hand stance issue. every single weapon either sometimes work or doesn't at all. I've tested this with 3 different mice, all functional and every single time the issue is still there. I had to fight the ranking up bosses using only a dagger because the horrendous gameplay can stop working in the most crucial moment. I have written this in such a tedious manner so that you can feel how frustrating it is to enco…
wowza!
It's a mixed bag for me, while I appreciate and like the concept, the execution itself feels lacklustre. The method to get coins to get better equipment or to go up in rank is riddled with odd choices. The Ambush game mode is the most miserable experience compared to any of the others, with 'AI Companions' that often just make stuff less readable, while if you happen to die, it's attempt over. The achievement don't appear to unlock, at all either. I also was unable to get any multiplayer matches going.
for a side scroller fighting game they REALLY could have made keyboard controls better, a lot of the keybind settings are just plain bad, honestly there should have been a target aiming thing that follows the enemy if you are dueling a singular person, that would swap where you look depending on the locked target side (that could also change the targets with mouse or keyboard), a lot of the button mapping sucks for no reason at all, mouse defending could also be set to work without having to press the right button, which would make more sense, and allowing us to rebind the other button for shove or dash, or better yet, make the facing of the character depend on mouse, the game really looks rough lightning wise for what it is the concept is really appealing but its just not it yet, i hope the devs do make better updates towards these type of stuff in the future, while i do understand it was meant to be used with a controller its still way too shoddy work for the keyboard, which is a more accessible thing in general the menu is very confusing and so is the campaign stuff, if theres even one
