Drops of Death

As others have mentioned, it is not really an in-depth mystery novel. I do think the store description explains it well enough. It is more that you may come across your attacker in your playthrough. For my first playthrough, I didn't. Case went cold and that was that. You can save and go back to explore options with others but it may take the fun out of it. With your next playthrough you can choose who your attacker will be, in order to get new story content and gallery unlocks. As for the endings, even though it says there are 50+ of them, its more that you get a choice to say something slightly different but the ending will be the same. I would say the variety of endings is much lower. In regards to the mystery side of things... It is mostly Adrien going through the process of being attacked and waiting for the police to handle things. In the meantime you will take classes and socialise until near the ending where you might get a chance to progress with things. The attacker may reveal themselves and depending on some choices you made previously, you can get saved or get (maybe) killed. There is also a chance to go off into the sunset with your attacker too. I really wanted to like this game, but the writing is too rough for me to recommend it. Both the romance and murder plotlines have very little depth, and the climax/endings are rushed. Characters often act in ways no reasonable person would to a degree that takes me out of the story. The art is good but a visual novel lives and dies by its writing. Great concept, mediocre execution.

This is a tough one. I absolutely love the concept/idea of the game. If it was $5? I'd probably give it a thumbs up. But for $12? It's way too short, and doesn't have much replay value. It also feels like the finale is small in scope (oddly, even more disappointingly small if you're dating the murderer. Like, how often do you get to experience the person you're dating killing you? You'd think there's be more to it than "you turn away, hear a gunshot, and then realize you're shot; fade to black".)

Started, my first playthrough ended up romancing the killer and ignoring every red flag possible still didn't care cause he was hot he killed me but he was hot so it was worth it All jokes aside, i love the game, played 2 different playthrough and i love the randomness of choosing the killer and how the MC relationship with everyone evolves. i absolutely recomend it.

Super enjoyable and very replayable, I usually find myself doing multiple playthroughs in a day when I have the spare time. I was genuinely shocked I'd romanced the killer in my first game!

It's a very creative approach to a dating sim and the story has enough twists and turns along each replay. There's tons of endings and different scenarios to play with despite it being a visual novel. Considering what this game has done regarding the mystery and each love interest/possible killer, you can tell story wise this was well thought out. This game's creativity is something that shouldn't be slept on and a nice shake up from the usual dating sim genre.
