The battles are fought in different regions that are located on a world map. Managing units is a lot of fun. You can recruit different types of units, improve them one by one by giving them skills, and even give your heroes all kinds of special equipment. You can choose the upgrades of your units yourself as they level up: you can either spend XP right away and choose what's already available, or wait for a better, more expensive trait. I invested already close to 30+ hours in this game. I was playing a beta version befor early access release. This is surely RPG and Strategy but in a few ways it is almost a rogue like game. Even if it has no common rogue like elements. WHAT??? The Thing is you reach "immortality" only under two different conditions: Character level 10 and Forest Heart (healthbar over 500). And as i said im 30+ hours in this game... still trying! I would not recommend this game to player who wanna dive in for a few hours.. you will be probably on the same place like a few hours ago! The game is "hardcore" and fighting is not simple.. like in the most of ARPG, you are not the badaSs who kills everything.. The sound and skeleton voice!!! OMG just amazing! Graphic looks great. Few advices for beginners: passive skills - take first: "warrior" or "might is nature" or "undead expundead". talent tree: Unholy King is the easiest to play. but i'm not a summoner guy, it was not for me. Use units / building skill points after each battle. Use normal and item traps (latest after wave 10 - you should think about it). Click on trees and read game tips!

Needs a tutorial, some trouble with map scroll during waves, system not very intuitive. Other than that, nice graphics and somewhat straight forward, click on things, read and figure out how to re-position them. Still learning the game, looks like it'll be slow going until more info / tutorial is implemented. I would wait for a sale to buy in current build.

Very complex game with the original concept of progress - to upgrade the character's properties, you need to manage the environment well. Otherwise, you die pretty quickly. Very well thought out, but recommended only for those players who do not want to just press buttons.
