Tile laying, number matching game. Played on one of a number of different boards (square grids with varied out of play blocks on each), join up your tiles to form sequences or sets of numbers and form loops or close off your network. Then gain extra abilities (eg increase a number, rotate a tile in play, eliminate a bridge, ...) to mix things up a bit. I bought this about a year ago, played a couple of times and then kind of forgot about it. Noticed it again yesterday, loaded it up and I've just finished the storyline mode. It's fun, and there are some interesting strategy and tactical decisions to make. The characters are cute - you're a bunny, there's a sloth, and a little bird and others - the music is fine for a chilled mood, and the different boards with various bonuses and gimmicks keep things entertaining. The story is fine, if uninspired - you meet the characters and play them all multiple times leading up to the big tournament (which turns out to be a single game). The biggest downside for me so far is that the computer doesn't seem to play particularly well, at least in the storyline. The final boss is built up as a huge obstacle, with what you expect will be OP car…

Pro: * pretty neat boardgame with easy-to-grasp rules * generally chill vibe and environment and characters * passes the time in a relaxing way for a coupla hours for a few bucks * the author seems to really care about quality/feedback Cons: * AI is simple and easy to beat * There's a huge variety of special cards, traps etc... which may sound like a 'Pro' but ultimately they're almost pointless and unnecessary, at least against the AI * the visual novel style overstory is incredibly bland, the characters are visually appealing (except the player character who looks weird and inconsistent) but the characters don't really talk about themselves or anything except the boardgame, no overarching plot or character development or anything

If you like board games and environments with a relaxing mood, this game is for you. Cascade Cafe is a nice Lofi-style game that is easy to understand, and is fun to play. The way that tiles are matched whether the same number or in sequential order as well as the lines to connect each one makes it easier to play and score big points. There are also various items that can either help you, change a tile, or stop your opponent from reaching the target score. The game also has some great characters, each one having their own special tiles. Overall, this is a nice game if you're more into the relaxed mood and don't care much about competition.

Best part is being able to play this offline when my internet is down. It is also a very chill game yet it keeps my interest. I hope there is an update at some point to add more story days and maybe more players with different strategies and maybe more game chatter from the npcs as we play. Or how about a version where we make words instead of number sequences.
