Sky Realm Idle

Underwhelming. No conditional setups for abilities = all characters launch theirs at the same time = limits the synergies you can efficiently use. Numbers are inflated very early You unlock 33% of the achievements within an hour. Why? The game needs to be open to gain exp. Why? Most skills have no hotlinks. I got 0 clue what they do. What is ''Ice Prison''? Do you expect me to try every single character and watch the fact and memorize what it is? No tags for researching abilities... ex: debuffers, healers. You just have to click each character one by one I also think the pulls are broken. I keep pulling the exact same heroes and 0 new heroes after over 500 pulls. its ridiculous. Those listed aren't actually available and I can't grow my roster This is probably AI slop And pretty shallow overall. Plenty of better idle games out there.

I hate being the "this update killed my game and the sky is falling!" person, but it's kinda true here. Sky Realm Idle is a stat heavy idle game with some questionable decisions, but is generally a good game. The recent update nerfed some strategies to allow more diversity in builds and such. Generally a good thing, right? The problem in this case is that it changed the mid game from having a clear upgrade path to a brick wall of trying different character combinations and hoping you find the magic one that works. The game operates off of a star rating for area difficulty. Before the update you could craft some top end weapons in the 2-star area. Now all of those are locked behind blueprints that aren't available until end game areas. They also removed many of the strategies for stacking weapon buffs that would have allowed mid game players to reach the stat totals to continue. My current strategy is now to max out *every* character available and hope that some magical combination works. It really feels like no one played the game all the way through before pushing this update. EDIT: That hump I previously described still exists, but I did eventually get over it. At …

Absurdly slow grind, even for an idle game. 0.1% drop rates for stages that take 30-mins to an hour to complete early game, you know, when you need the materials the most. You will have to run the game on your computer 24 /7 for weeks, come back once every 24 hours just to make minor upgrades. Your not even really playing a game at this point.

I've fallen out of love with the game and will stop playing. This has been a good time for me. The first couple hundred hours are great. Something changed for me though, not sure what. I just don't enjoy it as much. That said, it's completely worth the price and it's entertaining.
