Rule No. 3 Downpour

I was a big supporter of Rule No. 1 and No. 2. I also had the most viewed review for Rule No. 2. So it was a nice surprise to see Rule No. 3 pop up out of no where for me. Rule No. 1 was a decent prototype of which Rule No. 2 greatly improved on. And I can happily say Rule No. 3 is a great improvement on Rule No. 2. All 3 games share the same basic formula, but Rule No. 3 is the definitive version of the bunch and is worth buying as is. The guns are better, the movement is better, the art is better, and the strategy for staying alive is better too. It's not all perfect, some of the guns are annoying to use and at times there can be a readability issues if you kill a bunch of enemies and particle effects are everywhere. But over time you'll learn how to filter it out of your vision. Currently i am rank #50 on the leader board when you get a good run like that the game just gets so addicting. You really get in the zone and before you realize it you're on the leaderboard. Also for the first time we actually have a bit of a story and lore for why we are killing these random shapes in this virtual arena. way more fun than I expected, still seeing new guns after over an hour of playtime. Would love to see level progression go a bit faster, but the loop is addicting.

LOVE THIS GAME

As someone who hasnt played the previous Rule games, I was definitely confused at first, but I looked around, played some runs and started to progress which was pretty fun. The movement feels very good, except for the feeling I get that I need another movement ability, such as a double jump or dash (That could be an upgrade but Im not sure). The weapons are very interseting and I love the art of all the different characters aswell as the many particle effects constantly flashing everywhere. This will certainly be a game that I comeback to for longer periods of time to try and beat my highscore
