This game is dead. One more reason why you should never buy early access titles. Pity it was a promising hybrid of post-apocalyptic-themed Diablo and Souls games.

So first off I'll say I really like game. I've always like isometric souls. I do have some issues I hope they address... - Stamina drains way too quickly and recovers way too slowly. - It took about 3 hours to find any armor which means you're naked for the first multiple areas. Also there are no strength weapons early on. - Attacks have no weight or punch. - There is a day/night cycle but it seems night longer than day. - Not enough bosses. But overall I'm having fun and I keep coming back to it. I wish there were more reviews and interest in this game to inspire the devs to keep working on it. I see potential here.

Descensus is Dark Souls in isometrics in the dieselpunk era. It looks unusual, and the price is adequate, you should take it before the price goes up. I played very little of it, for the reason that I don't like early access games. Since usually the plot is not finalized and still a lot of things to change, but at least I tried. I liked it. At the beginning of the game choose 1 of 3 classes and start your journey. Visually the game looks not bad. In addition to the mile weapons there are firearms and grenades. Firearms seemed to me a very weak weapon, it is easier to hit with a sword / mace. As in DS there is stamina, which you need to watch out for, dodges, you can easily die from an unlucky somersault to the side, backstabs and.... I don't know what else, I haven't played enough :)

Is the game perfect, no. Am I enjoying it, you bet I am! If you’re a soulslike junkie like me, this is a great little isometric soulslike! I keep thinking it reminds me of The Ascent or Grim Dawn, but Dark Souls style and I’m here for it. If you’re on the fence, try the demo. The full game is just like what’s shown in the demo. In fact, my save carried over into the full (EA) game. Which is always a nice surprise. Others have complained about the gun and the grenades, but I am quite enjoying them. I also like the ability to upgrade your talismans. I’m not sure I have seen that in a soulslike before, certainly it’s not an often used mechanic as of now. The devices are pretty neat too and spoiler *there is a healing device found about 3-4 hours in. This is a supplement to the healing flasks (which I haven’t found any more of yet 10+ hours in), so I’m glad I found it.* All things considered, I am glad I took the plunge as there is very little info regarding this game and practically no reviews. I still haven’t finished it yet, but felt compelled to leave a review as I only see one other person has left a review with decent hours put into it. I am definitely getting my $5 worth…

Fun game with a lil bit of jank and bugs but overall a good start and would love to see it expand, sadly its not been updated since launch and the devs are silent on the discords sad to see a good project go to waste can not recommenced in the current state with no signs of life for more info: https://youtu.be/m1YyBAIjj48

14 months and no update. this game had potential but was abandoned mid development. Don't expect a full package.
