Typical AI generated 2026 game, except it's from 2025. Mouse sensitivity is overclocked to 999%; it's not only not set to borderless by default but there just is no borderless mode because they've never played a game in their lives; the mouse wheel goes through items in the wrong order; the refresh rates are sorted like "165, 60, 144". Out of the Viscera Cleanup clones I've played, this is the least inspired. It takes random mechanics from others and bumbles them together. To expand on the mechanic where individual gibs make everything dirty if you're not careful carrying them, here there's color-coded types that can explode into more tiny things to deal with. Not handing out any originality points for that one I'm afraid. As expected the game is missing essential features like a scan for dirty areas, showing which parts of a level are cleaned and which are not, etc. On the plus side, the multiplayer mode either got some testing or works thanks to sheer one-shotting luck. So as you're not having fun, you can at least not have fun with your friends. That's something. I can't recommend this, usually I like these sort of games because they scratch an ADHD itch, but this one is lacking. You can complete every level in a couple of hours, the only real incentive for me to keep playing further was to unlock achievements, several of which were bugged and couldn't be unlocked without exploiting another bug. For a game that's been out for almost a year, there's too many bugs and not enough content.

I'd prefer to leave a neutral review on this. First off: this is a clone of Viscera Cleanup Detail. No, not in a sense that it's similar in genre, there's a lot of cleaning games out there. It clearly copies VCD in most of its core features. Tools, physics, gameplay, minimal HUD, even level select menu, it's all VCD. You'll immediately feel it. This also means having VCD's idea of intentionally annoying mechanics, stuff going everywhere to dirty up the place, and general lack of clarity / QoL. It's not bad, it's still a rather fun game but if you're looking for cozy casual cleanup this isn't it. With that being said, I had to lean towards negative review due to some bugs. Nothing game-breaking but the coins display is stuck at a placeholder value of 1000 and doesn't reflect how many you actually have (unless you spend some to update it... until next time). Some achievements are inconsistent - got a whole bunch of "max out all upgrades" when I barely bought any, yet "spend 5000 coins" pops much later and needs more coins. In the 18 years I've been on Steam I've never requested a refund for a game. I ended that streak today with this game. I've also never left a bad review. I purchased for myself and a friend to play co-op. Looked fun and I like the concept. It was unplayable and glitchy. Major issues with the game make it game breaking. Tons of bugs. - The game crashes immediately when you try to exit co-op and choose a new level. - Upstairs rooms are often missing the floor so you just fall through onto the first floor. But when you look up the floor is there as the ceiling. - There's often incrdible amounts of lag. - Mouse sensitivity is insane for some reason. - Random bugs make the game unplayable. - It's very difficult to even manipulate objects. Give this one a skip.

Well, I've given multiplayer numerous attempts now and plenty of time for a fix. I have spent the better part of a week trying to play with my wife and son. I played with my son one time. When I first purchased the game and since then, multiplayer no longer works. We are stuck waiting at what I can only assume is a loading screen since there is no indication that shows the player your game is being connected/loaded. Due to no responses and no fixes, I am giving it a poor review. Once the multiplayer is fixed, then I may be obliged to change my review.
