About Duplicado

GAMEPLAY
Use the 4 avocado pieces and their unique sliding mechanics to plant all of the seeds into the soil and water tiles. Order of operations is key, and using the pieces in clever ways is often the only way to solve the puzzle. Some seemingly easy levels will have you completely stumped until you get a very satisfying 'Aha!' moment where you see the solution.
EXPERIENCE
After a short collection of tutorial levels, the game loads you immediately into an endless landscape of procedurally-generated puzzles that flow beautifully into each other upon solving. As you complete levels you will unlock three additional difficulty tiers that offer much more challenging puzzles.
UI
The minimalistic UI distracts only with the essentials:
the oft-needed reset and undo buttons, a convenient settings menu, and a puzzle-sharing button that lets you send level-codes to a friend.
Immerse yourself in fullscreen mode or keep the game open in a small window to visit throughout your day when you need a relaxing break.
We hope this game offers peaceful little moments when you need them most.
Happy puzzling :)

✦ AI summary
Duplicado is praised as a relaxing and well-polished puzzle game with soothing music, charming visuals, and satisfying mechanics that avoid frustration through good difficulty balance and multiple solution paths. The main criticisms are that it feels like a mobile port lacking PC-specific features like controller support and Steam achievements, and that the procedurally generated puzzles may become repetitive after extended play sessions.
Duplicado is a peaceful and relaxing puzzle game very similar to the Quell series. The Quell games have sliding puzzles in which the objective is to move a ball in a way that it reaches a certain tile so that it picks up a pearl on the way, with the restriction that once a direction is chosen, the ball will stop moving into that direction only when it encounters an obstacle (a wall). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2953682843 Duplicado borrows this sliding mechanic but adds a few new unique ones that reshape the gameplay a bit. The objective here is to move an avocado seed (the “ball”) until it reaches a plot of land or water, allowing it to transform into a tree, which will serve as a wall tile / obstacle. Additionally, the movement of an avocado core can be stopped not only by the border of the level but also by an avocado shell that follows the same sliding mechanic as the seed. However, it will stop the seed by containing it in that tile. While in Quell games, there is only one ball per level, Duplicado’s levels ca…13 found this helpful
Great laid back puzzle game overall. Soothing music, fabulous and smooth gameplay and really nice unique style. Would love to see more form this studio. Solid 10/10 in this category3 found this helpful
It's a relaxing and nice game. Very well polished and nice graphics. The value you get for the money is pretty good! My only critique is that you can clearly feel that it is a ported mobile game. It would be great to have controller support and Steam achievements!3 found this helpful
Mechanics are easy to grasp with the help of the short tutorial, then you are ready for the procedural puzzles. Even if the levels difficulty varies quite a lot between each level, on average the difficulty curve is great. There are multiple solutions to each puzzle and when you juggle two shells around to solve a puzzle you feel very smart. I have yet to got stuck on a single puzzle for more than 5 minutes and I've never had to skip one, overall great expecience. May get a bit boring after a few hours but for 3€ it doesn't matter. Also, I love the visuals, the music and the sound effects. It makes for a very chill atmosphere.1 found this helpful
Awesome puzzle game! The graphics are very pleasing, and the music relaxing. The puzzles are generated procedurally (except those from the tutorial) but they are very well balenced anyways, and the difficulty curve is just perfect. 100% recommended.
It's a perfect puzzle, it relaxes and has a good progression, you don't get stuck for too long.
