About I commissioned some unicorns

A hidden object game where you must find all the unicorns and wands to complete each level.

Key features:

🖼️ 15 Unique artworks

❓ 1500+ Hidden objects total
🦄 750+ Unicorns
🪄 750+ Wands
💡 ∞ Unlimited hints if you get stuck
♻️ Restore a small number of hidden objects to a painting so you can find them again!
🎵 Music and ambiance for each artwork
⌨️ Use your keyboard to move/zoom in if you have no scroll wheel
💾 3x save slots
🗑️ Reset progress entirely and play again
🕒 Timer included to show how long you took to complete each level

Context:

The brief was simple. I commissioned artists to create a fantasy world, and hide as many unicorns and wands as they could inside it. Now it’s your job to find them all! With 15 art pieces to choose from, and 1500+ hidden objects, you will have a lot of searching to do.

Controls:

Use your mouse to move around the image and zoom in / out. When you find a hidden object, click it and it will disappear. You can also use WASD to move and the arrow keys to zoom.

Difficulty:

A full range of difficulty is included, but all levels start unlocked, your progress is saved as you play, and you can use hints if you get stuck.

Get immersed:

Each painting has its own music and ambiance to help you connect with the world, as you search for everything.

Replayable

You can restore a small number of hidden objects back into a painting so you can find them again! It’s much harder when there are only a few hidden objects left (especially randomly). You can also use up to 3 save slots so you can replay without progress loss. Alternatively, you can reset your progress for the entire game if you’d like to start over.

Note: A copy of the game was given by a wonderful friend. ^^
Combining the magical with the modern. XD

Introduction
I commissioned some unicorns is a cozy, relaxing hidden object game developed by Follow the fun and published by I commissioned some series. You're given a series of 15 artwork pieces, and you have to find a set number of unicorns and star wands. No timer is present, so you can play the game at your own pace, and an unlimited number of hints are available, so you can use them if you get stuck on finding those elusive unicorns or wands. The usual gameplay controls are present. Scrolling the mouse wheel zooms the artwork in and out. You can drag the scene with the mouse and click on objects with the left mouse button. Several Steam achievements are present, but they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "profile features limited".
Review
The games in the I commissioned some series have kind of become my relaxing, comfort games when I'm in the mood to play something that's laidback and stress-free. Feeling in that mood, I wanted to get around to this game, and thanks to a wonderful f…

PROS: + plenty of charming art styles + really nice music + great on the Steam Deck CONS: - localisation doesn't work - profile visibility is restricted for this game - somewhat easy/short(?) Comment: The first unicorn game in the I commissioned some X series. Unicorns were nicely visible for the most part. Then the bonus search this time are magic wands and they are fine in the normal version. Then in some pictures they are folded(?) so they just look like sticks or cigarettes. Odd choice. Soundtrack is chill, and even though it is not as good as the I commissioned some snails one, I still rank it as one of the better ones in the series. A cool entry that took over an hour on the Steam Deck to complete. Would be even faster with mouse and keyboard. So you might want to pick it up on sale. It is also available in bundles but those offer no actual discount for whatever reason. A really relaxing hidden picture game with a unicorn twist. It is relaxing. There are lots of levels so it is one that you take time to complete. Worth what I paid for it.

Fun and relaxing! I had a good time with it. The little horsey snorts as you click the unicorns are lovely. I like that the hint system isn't punishing nor overly revealing. The styles are nice and the variation is quite enjoyable. One thing I would like to ask, for this series as a whole: is there a way to see who drew the artworks? I don't think I spotted that anywhere, but I would love to see.

Possibly my favorite in the releases (#24?) because most of the art makes what needs to be found identifiable. There are a few exceptions in some of the 15 scenes, which predominantly features 2 art styles. The best scene for me, by FAR, is the last one... the unicorns are beautiful, even though nobody ACTUALLY knows what they really look like. Like other games in the series, I believe the price point is too high; perhaps "worth" the playtime if/when discounted by at least 50%.
