About RKGK / Rakugaki

The city is your canvas. Join the rebellious Valah and her RKGK crew to free the neo-brutalist Cap City from evil B Corp’s control. Collect secret treasures, find hidden paths, and light up the cold and grey concrete with your graffiti.

How fast can you go? Chain together jumps, dashes, glides, and grinds. Reach the perfect flow state in Defacer mode – where Valah’s world becomes her animated wonderland. Master routes and speed through levels as you take down Mr. Buff’s cronies with style.

Break through enemies, overload your senses, and take back control. Use Valah’s paint abilities for stylish traversal, chaotic mayhem, and leaving your vibrant mark on every corner of Cap City.

Channel your power through art and resist Mr. Buff’s mind-controlling technology. Restore freedom to the citizens of Cap City and test your abilities against the B Corp minions. Valah’s creativity and imagination is the spark to guide you through a dark, controlling world.

Color is power. Graffiti is resistance. Use art as the ultimate expression to speak for the underdog and light up the world. With plenty of paint and cosmetic customization options, Valah can reclaim her city and look great doing it.

RKGK / Rakugaki and Wabisabi are proud to be a part of Riot Games' Underrepresented Founders program, working together to help increase diversity in game development.

Brilliant but flawed platformer. Stylistically it feels like a mix between 3D sonic games and Jet Grind Radio. Movement is mostly fluid and can be quite fast. The camera angles are nearly always spot on too. When it's at its best it is amazing but it's not without its problems. - There are bugs where if you fall you will respawn and continue dying until you finally die. - The level 'Leap of Faith' uses a mechanic where solid surfaces only spawn from an orb under you but the orb moves really inconsistently and you are either waiting for it or dying because you can't keep up and it's not just in a specific point, it happens the whole way through the level. - If you are hit by an enemy in the air over a gap, you are stunned, lose 1 heart and then fall into the void, losing another heart. Most of the time this isn't an issue but in boss fights it can be really frustrating. - The mix between speed and collecting makes it feel a bit at odds with each other, like there's one level in chapter 5 with speed pads and stuff all leading to the end but a big screen half way through so unless you want to do the level multiple times you need to stop and go get the screen before finishin…

♥♥♥♥ Those Flock Cameras Up! Jet SET! RADIOOO!! + Mirrors Edge + a little bit of Splatoon Vibes + 12$ - suffers from the 3rd person camera forced zoom when wall jumping - no wall running - had to turn all the settings down to stop fatal errors

Hack-and-slash brawler platformer with simple combat design but it's fun. Has cool parkour elements. The artwork is incredible, the style is amazing, and the music is really good. It's one of the most stylized and beautiful games I've ever played.

Fun speedrunning-collectathon platformer in a Grindfiction Artstyle ;) A lot of difficult secrets (like, how could you beat the gold time for the first level... skill issue ig). And i LOVE that the music dynamically adjusts to your Defacer-Mode Score. Only thing that could improve it is some finetuning with the camera. Sometimes it gets stuck on objects and obscures Valah, other times it gets hard to figure out depth perception, but it's nowhere as bad as early 3D games. keep it up, excited for hyper yuki!

Slog of a game. The movement isn't fun enough to warrant it's "replay and speedrun" nature, and the game's also weak in it's visuals and music.
