You are a rogue former Special Forces operator trapped behind enemy lines, where the price of freedom is the elimination of a key target. Survival is just the beginning; every step you take is a preparation for the ultimate mission. Find your way in a massive open world where nothing is easy. Provide your resources, repair disabled systems, and build the infrastructure required to fund your war. From managing energy grids to equipment trade, every decision shapes your own path.
- ⚡ Fund Your Mission (Craft and Energy): You need to unlock advanced equipment and vehicles required to reach your ultimate goal. For this, gather resources, repair disabled systems, and build your own infrastructure by generating energy. Managing energy grids and producing the required technology (craft) is the only way to lead you to victory.
- 🔫 Survival Dynamics: You must constantly monitor basic needs such as hunger and thirst. Every death has a price.
- 🎯 Goal-Oriented Progression: Fulfill the main mission given to you to regain your freedom. Manage your resources.
- 🗺️ Open World and Production: Drive your car on a massive map, hunt deer in the wild, cut trees, and gather minerals. Build your base, produce electricity, and loot resources.

Ashes of Ambition is not a good game. Do not purchase it, don’t even consider it. Grammatical errors? Chock-full. Crafting recipes? Dunno, couldn’t find any. Money? Dunno, couldn’t make any. First quest was apparently to deliver a bunch of crap to some dude in a bunker but either I missed out on that part during the text-only dialogue, or the game makes no mention at all of the fact that the resources you’re told to buy aren’t actually for you at all. If you use ANY of the 10 medkits you’re told to purchase, which, by the way, are called Al2Medic and each take up an individual slot of your inventory, you need to purchase more from the vendor by the guy you’re delivering to. It’s funny as hell because when you deliver the medkits, some of which you may have to purchase from the mechanic’s neighbor, he will say “thanks, I was running low”. You will very quickly find that the map is nearly pointless as a whole. Buildings can’t be entered, most containers can’t be opened, the containers that do will hold nothing of any significant value, and you will muddle your way along. You will eventually kill your first enemy, and as you rush towards their body in this “tactical shooter” …2 found this helpful
wtf is this? No invert mouse. Changing keybinds doesn't work (ie interect to e instead of f). Selecting options that pop up, like when buying a car it wouldn't let me select the car I wanted, then when I clicked another one, it popped up a prompt but I couldn't select the button to buy or cancel. I had to close the game to get out of that screen. 5 mins in and I can't play this janky mess. It shouldn't even be for sale on here...it's just not ready. refunded.2 found this helpful
