Anonymous Hunting Simulator, developed and published by Performance Artist, is a strange and minimalist first-person shooter that embraces simplicity and absurdity in equal measure. At its core, the game is about collecting ten hidden masks scattered across a map while surviving against relentless, faceless pursuers known simply as “Anonymous.” What might sound straightforward on paper quickly turns into a tense and surreal experience where atmosphere and unpredictability take precedence over conventional structure. The game’s title itself is a hint at its tone—it plays with irony and internet culture while crafting an experience that feels like a mix between parody, horror, and experiment. From the moment the game begins, there’s a palpable sense of unease. The world feels empty but charged, as if something unseen lurks just beyond your field of view. The environments are sparse and stylized, composed of abstract terrain and gloomy lighting that lend the game an eerie, dreamlike quality. This game doesn't take itself seriously, so why should I? You already start off with a shady, scammer-like start screen that reminds me of India, for some reason. The gameplay itself felt like it was put together in a day, and I'm being VERY generous on that. The guns aren't even real guns. The recoil is no good. The gun sounds are basic and boring. Enemies run at you like the rainbows. And for some reason, anytime I tried to walk anywhere, it'd feel like you're walking on quicksand. Digitally. This is one for the Indians. Damn! 1/5
