About Starpuffs

Starpuffs is a cute puzzle game where you solve increasingly challenging puzzles with just one deceptively simple movement mechanic.
You play as Cloudy, a pink ball of fluff who is home to the bright and sleepy Starpuffs. One night, when Cloudy and the Starpuffs are sound asleep, a flurry of wind sweeps the Starpuffs away! You need to rescue them, but it won’t be easy!

Gameplay

  • Move Cloudy sideways to split into little Cloudies
  • Move up or down to split again into mini Cloudies
  • When two Cloudies from the same split meet, they merge together.
  • Rescue all your Starpuffs and merge back into big Cloudy in order to give everyone a good night's sleep!

Features

  • 5 unique zones, each with its own vibrant atmosphere
  • 125 levels
  • New environmental mechanics with each zone
  • Colourful, fun and challenging gameplay with cute characters

Controls

  • W A S D, Arrow Keys or Gamepad Joystick/D-pad to move

Starpuffs is a cute puzzle game starring a pink fluffy cloud that divides into two and then four smaller versions of itself. Each copy moves in different directions, so the puzzles involve manipulating their position using the "floor" tiles such that you gather all the little star guys and successfully recombine into one cloud. If your brain isn't wired for this type of puzzle, this game gets challenging fast. It is possible in some of the puzzles to stumble onto a correct solution through total guessing or more or less random inputs, but in others, like the ones with the disappearing cloud tiles, that likely isn't going to happen. I have to admit that I ended up bouncing off the game somewhere in the second world. I'm still leaving the review as recommended, because the game is very well made; the style of puzzle just isn't for me. I had a similar experience with Baba is You, where I eventually lost the motivation to keep playing. Fortunately, there's a demo available for you to try, s…

A game that puzzle lovers should definitely play! I really liked the art style. I also think its mechanics are very well designed. My favorite part of the game is that each zone begins with a simple level designed to introduce you to the new mechanics. It's ideal for those who, like me, don't want to read long rules. The levels get harder as you progress, new mechanics are added, which makes you both competitive and curious. I'm only halfway through Zone 2 so far, but I'll finish the whole game soon.
