Yesterday's News

I genuinely like the game. It kind of remind me of a mix between Cards Against humanity and Jackbox Party. It's low stakes and pretty easy to get into. The option are Explained at the top making it accessible for everyone that may have forgotten what a verb noun or adjective is, and it doesn't require creativity if none is available with the random suggestion button. I would like to see a form of mobile support or connection in order to be able to play this locally, All in all it feels quite enjoyable and i recommend it to everyone that's looking for some group based low stakes fun.

Great game to play with friends. I recommend playing with 3 or more people. Think cards against humanity, but you write the words yourself. I really liked how creative you can get with the words.

I wanted to like Yesterday's News, but it didn't work for my family and I ended up asking for a refund. I think it requires some quality of life changes before I would consider buying it again. Here are our criticisms: First: We play on a television in my living room in big screen mode. Unfortunately, Yesterday's News doesn't support a controller and I had to grab my keyboard. Controller support would be appreciated. It would also be nice if the mouse cursor would disappear from the screen after a few seconds of mouse inactivity. Second: The game only has a QR code or a IP address to connect to the game room. It wasn't clear for the less tech savvy family members in the room and it took us a few more minutes to get everyone connected. A simple web address similar other games in this genre would be appreciated. Third: Although a lesser criticism, the host fell kind of flat for us. I think he could be improved. Fourth: This is a simple thing, but the entry boxes don't have an "enter" or "next" button. Sure, you can just press "enter" on the virtual keyboard, but not everyone realized that at first. Fifth: We have a couple of family members that should probably know their gram…

Fun game if you have fun friends. The game doesn't get in the way of you and your players playing fast and being the funny ones the way some other party games do by having long voice acting or animations. It worked with three, but four players made it a lot better! No non-PC (ex. Android) client available, but maybe in the cards if the game had more success?

Great party game if you like games like Jackbox!
