FINALLY, the patch works, I can start the game on Windows 11 computers. Thank you for fixing this, this is a game my daughter likes very much.

Man, I can't believe that this made it into Steam all those years later in 2023! I do have an original copy myself, but the problem is the fact that it has awful load times and barely even worked on my computer nowadays. But thanks to this game, it's now playable on modern hardware, and the best part is the fact that the load times are like instant here. It still has its fair share of bugs and glitches here and there, particularily in the minigames, and Deep Dark Sea should have been much larger with more dive sites to offer, and more difficulty and yes, death means nothing in this game because you don't lose lives or the treasure you've collected. Aside from that Deep Dark Sea is the closest thing Living Books has to a real game itself, though it is relatively easy. I wonder how PeanutButterGamer's going to react to seeing this here.

It is cool that you can play the game from the story, Deep Dark Sea. When I was a kid I was stoked to find out that was an option after listening to the story.

A little buggy but if you played it as a kid its fun to play it and relive your past, i would recommend getting it on sale though base price is a little steep.

This is one of the biggest surprises I've ever seen! Living Books has been a big part of my childhood, and now I get to revisit it just like Humongous Entertainment. I would say this is very close to being a good emulation for the game. My only complaints are that you can't use the Steam screenshot taking function or open up the Steam Overlay, and sometimes the cursor shows up in areas where it's not visible on certain click points(Like Kate's chair in page one and most noticeably Deep Dark Sea when you're playing with a mouse and the cursor seems to be attracted by the center of the screen which can be very distracting.) However, loading is very quickly that you don't see the screen fading to black or the little man walking which is pretty amazing. Overall, the game is still fun to play with the fun animations you can click on each page and with five different activities you can play in each page, including the Deep Dark Sea game that's in the story, which I believe is amazing for a Living Book activity. Most of them were matching or some kind of other simple game, but this one feels more like a videogame with swimming from start to finish, avoiding sea creatures, and findin…
