Players praise the game's accessible gameplay, good value for its price, and surprisingly fleshed-out mechanics that work well for a casual few hours of play. However, common frustrations include difficulty locating certain collectibles (particularly the final cat), tedious minigames after upgrading, and an overly tough final boss that may be impossible to defeat without specific upgrades, which some players feel creates an unfair difficulty spike.
Its got potential, for anyone just looking for the next dredge you wont find it here. But this game is fun in its own way and this definitely could work for a younger audience. Wont request a refund because I see the vision.1 found this helpful
I have enjoyed playing this game because it is easy to pick up and come back to over time. However, I have not found the final hiding place of Catastrophe to complete the last achievement. Clues to the other achievements are given by playing the game and the NPC characters conversations and interactions. The graphics and game mechanics are well done considering the game is very inexpensive.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5cDaO2ZSEo Trouble in Pacifica has a lot of depth. It's a lot similar to a more expensive game that is a top seller. The mini games are fun, but can be tedious once you have your boat fully upgraded. You meet a woman and she says she can give you a faster boat if you find 7 cats. Almost impossible, although I found 2. To beat the main boss you have to have a faster boat or a boat made of metal, and I didn't acquire either. The AI is too tough to beat the boss without a faster boat. If you're looking for a game to have fun with for a couple of hours, this is great.
Get it! This is actually amazing for the scope and price of the game! I really didn't expect some of the mechanics to be as fleshed out or as variable as they ended up being. The dev (or dev team) really did an amazing job, considering this is their first release. The game is genuinely fun except for the fact that I can't find that last cat anywhere ;-;
A very nice short-game... Maybe two or three hours of gameplay with a relaxing mood. Perfect for a sunday afternoon! It has a lot in common with Dredge on the exploration part, but the overall mood is totally different. No creepy stuff and the fishing minigame is totally different! I had fun! :D
