About Widget Inc.

The world has ended, Humanity is lost

Thankfully, a revolutionary new science is presented as humanity's salvation: Widgets, a technological marvel with unlimited potential that promises to uplift the remnants of human civilization and return them to their previous heights.

Now, it falls on you to build humanity's future. Starting from humble beginnings, research an expansive array of technologies and design a country-sized factory in order to build the rocket that will herald the Widgets' expansion to the stars... wait, why were we building this rocket again?

Craft your Widgets

Master a variety of manual crafting processes, then automate them to scale up your production.

Research Technology

Twelve tiers of technology await, each with their own crafting steps, upgrades, gameplay additions, and more.

Expand your Factory

As each new tier requires more of the previous, the only way to succeed is to continuously expand your factory. Build from scratch or copy entire previous sections - and keep the terrain you're building on in mind.

Reach for the Stars

As you reach the pinnacle of Widget technology, only one question remains: Will you shoot off into space, aiming to colonize another world? Or will you stay and build more rockets?

This is minimalist automation game where resources flow straight into your inventory, keeping the focus on tech‑tree progression and production optimization. *** What I Liked *** - Simple and accessible: Easy to learn, easy to return to after breaks, and great for short, relaxing sessions. - Focused gameplay: No aimless exploration—just production, upgrades, and optimization. - Variety of minigames: Different buildings introduce unique interfaces and mechanics, adding welcome variety to the automation loop. *** Where It Falls Short *** - Quality‑of‑life limitations: + Several basic convenience features are locked behind tech‑tree progression. + Building search exists, but the highlight contrast is unreliable, making structures hard to spot in busy areas. + Manual crafting upgrades: * Too expensive for how little they matter early on. * Only become worthwhile late game, once other upgrades stack and retro‑feed basic buildings. - Minigame inconsistency: + Some minigames (especially vault ones) feel less polished and can be frustrating due to imprecise cursor control. - Minor vault bug: + Occasionally the vault doesn’…
