GUG

The idea for this game is interesting but the gameplay is pretty bad. A lot of the monster effects don't seem to work as written and the basic mechanics for the game are very simple. I didn't go into this game expecting much balance but I was surprised when the game allowed me to make an invincible monster immediately as well as another that upon being placed on the field wins the encounter instantly. I realize the game is $6 so some folks might see a decent value prop but I simply didn't enjoy it. With more polish maybe it will become better.

trash ai slop, used to be a good idea during beta, but somehow the release is ridiculously bad. Unoptimized and laggy, no meaningful content, bad ui, etc.

it sounds a lot more interesting than it is

I really enjoyed the demo and purchased the game upon release. This said, upon launching the game it felt like it was just rebranded and pushed out the door as a full product. I waited for 6 months to see if there would be any improvements or fixes, but as of the time of this review there has been nothing. Sadly since then there really hasn't been any movement forward (patches, releases or communications from the Devs). The game still frequently generates unusable or broken GUGs which makes progression a coin flip. If there had been more communication or had there been some indication that work was being put into the game I probably would have remained interested - but as it stands I wouldn't be able to recommend GUG to anyone. As a tech demo or concept game this was promising. As a full release it falls short.

Does not work as intended

Я поставлю этой игре положительную оценку, несмотря на то, что есть масса минусов. Я активно играл в Демо игры, и немного успел поиграть в полную версию. Когда-то (если увижу обновления) - зайду поиграть ещё. Эта игра достаточно увлекательна, чтобы просидеть за ней пару-тройку вечеров, особенно, если получится выловить прикольных ГУГов. Микс карточной игры и дэкбилдера, завязанный на генерации при помощи ИИ. Оно играется и ощущается ровно так как звучит. Но дальше начинаются проблемы. На старте, в демо версии, у меня получались какие-то невероятные ГУГи, то совершенно бесполезные, то люто-имбовые. Сначала повторные генерации (эволюции) одного и того же ГУГа стакали эффекты, потом перестали. В общем. пока шла работа над балансом, становилось немного хуже. На момент релиза я уже и наиграться успел и в игре были изменения, котрые меня не очень радовали. Зато число крашей стало меньше. В общем. Игра как минимум достойна изучения ДЕМО, а там уже каждый решит для себя.
