About Deber

Deber is a short platform game where you play as Deber, a minor demon.
Your Lord has lost the precious flame that gives him his fabulous powers after a night of demon drinking and a bad bet.
To recover the fragments of his flame, he will send you on missions across different worlds.
Along the way you will acquire new skills and use them wisely to reach some hidden places.
Journey through 4 fantastic 3D levels, most of the assets and animations are self made.
Enjoy each level with its own visual design and sound.
Checkpoints are there to give you a break.

All inputs are configurable with keyboards in options.

Hello indie game fans. If during my progress I couldn't help but have thoughts about the gameplay, when I understood that these were young developers I finally said to myself that for a first game it was very successful! The game brings you new mechanics at each level that make you feel progress! They are not all perfect but have the merit of synergizing well. For experienced players, the game may seem fast but compared to a gigantic scam, I find that €3 for a short hour of adventure is more than adequate! I can't wait to see this young team's progress on their next game! Well done to them! PS: big ups to YvesLaGagne for this immersive music!

The low cost suits this barebones and simple little platformer. First thing that needs to be mentioned is that gamepad isn’t supported. Although there are no complicated moves, playing with a keyboard just doesn’t feel right. Camera control is not great. You need to press and hold the right mouse button to move the camera around the character. The only move you need to be concerned about is jumping. There is a run button, but it appears to have been added only for the purpose of forcing you to make running jumps. A normal jump is often insufficient to cover the distance. Because the game is so small, you only have four stages. Each represents one of the four major elements. They don't take long because there are only a few platforming tasks and at least one mechanism related to each stage (slippery ice, wind currents, etc.). A completed stage grants you a new ability, such as double leap or shield, that will be useful in the following level. There are no secrets or side roads. Each stage is linear, and you can grab collectible icons from the main path. They do not reward you in any way, and they are only here to provide you with something to collect.
