I bawled my eyes out in the end. Very unexpected twists in the storyline. The best thing about the game is definitely the story and the bonus of seeing it from the perspective of a devoted house cat.

This game is hauntingly beautiful. The graphics are creative and perfect for the feel of the game. The story is mesmerizing, engaging, well-written, and heart-wrenchingly good. It's filled with hard truths and heavy topics. You will leave feeling wrecked emotionally, but it's worth it to experience this wonderfully-crafted game. The cherry on top is that you get to experience all of this as a cat named Aspen. The developers did an outstanding job at capturing a cat's mannerisms and personality. Aspen is the heart and soul of this game, and adds some much-needed humor and laughter.

You're a cat, doing your own things while this family is falling apart. You get to see many side of the story of each individuals, all the fun and the sadness in between. It's a slow pace game where you sit back and enjoy the story on a cat's perspective.

For some reason it took me a while to get into it. What a pretty, cute, bittersweet game with some tears in there as well. Love such thoughtful games alot!

[i]“Do you think this place is really haunted?” “It’s not places that are haunted... it’s people.”[/i] Sometimes you finish a game, and it stays in your mind for a time and that is the case with this one. You play as Aspen, an elderly cat whose owner just died and the whole family comes back to the manor you inhabit for the funerals. As you expect, in this type of scenario, there’s a lot of drama and you follow it from afar, never really being part of the conversation. The game keeps you interested because the family drama is also linked to the history of the manor and whether or not something supernatural is happening in its walls. Although the game looks like a puzzle game, the puzzles and where to go next is always pretty clear, the game is mostly an interactive fiction from the point of view of a cat ... with the limitations of being a cat. You can’t open doors, you can’t say anything, and yet Aspen manages to be the main force that makes the story progresses. In the end, it’s the writing, the clever humour and twists that are the main assets of this game. I also really liked the pixel art, that despite not giving any faces to the characters manages to be very expr…
