✦ AI summary

Players praise Brothers as a touching, innovative adventure with beautiful storytelling told entirely without dialogue, complemented by stunning art style and memorable music. The dual-character control mechanic that lets you operate both brothers simultaneously is frequently cited as clever and emotionally resonant, though some find the controls clunky. Most agree it's a short but magical experience with well-designed puzzles, though completionists may need a guide to find all achievements.

An enchanting piece of interactive storytelling of family framed with mythology. The puzzles all feel unique and varied, with some being a bit more more tricky than others. My only complaint would be the clunky controls. If you want to get all of the achievements, have a guide available or you might very well miss every single one.

Short and sweet adventure game with some puzzle solving. Tells a super touching story without a single line of dialogue, and the bit of controlling two characters at once is used to it's fullest without getting old. Great score and stunning artstyle, I struggle to think of anything to criticize.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons might just be one of the most magical experiences I've ever had. The worldbuilding is subtle and well-accomplished, leaning towards showing you the world rather than telling you. From the music, to its aesthetics, this story is one of love and resilience, whimsy and moments of wonder; and while the dual-controlling of the brothers might take some getting used to, but by the very end it will drive you to tears. A masterpiece.

Without a doubt, Josef Fares' best game to date, and he's had his fair share of good ones. I can't even imagine playing this when it originally released. It feels so ahead of its time in so many ways.
