I've waited for a few weeks before deciding to post this review, but right now the game is not possible to beat on some computers due to a bug that's not been addressed by the devs. Otherwise it's cute and comfy, but I can't recommend it when it's broken. EDIT: Managed to get 100% achievements with the help of the Achievement Scouts (https://achievement-scouts.com/) community. Different depot downloads would fix the factorial tiles in various levels, so it was a major pain in the ass, but at least it's not *completely* broken.2 found this helpful
Decent puzzle game for the price. I'd buy more games like this.2 found this helpful
This is good to play some math puzzles in a fun way.1 found this helpful
Fun, charming, little puzzle game! Sometimes I get a little stuck with certain math, I think a hint system would be helpful occasionally. When launching the game, the audio settings are reset to max volume.1 found this helpful
Be hesitant to trust the reviews on this one. I'm in World 4 with factorial tiles, and they are bugged with inconsistent results. For a game that requires precision, unacceptable. Plus there's no undo button, a cardinal sin in this genre.1 found this helpful
Half-a-cado is a entertaining and surprisingly challenging little mathematical puzzle game, in which each level is based on a small tiled grid. A tile with a starting value has to be moved through the grid, being changed by various standard mathematical operators along the way, so that it has the correct finishing value when it reaches the end tile. As the puzzles progress, new operators (e.g. "square root", "modulus" etc) and conditional barriers ("even", "prime", "less than" etc) are introduced to increase the complexity, but the small scale of the grid means that there is always a realistic and encouraging hope of working out the solution rather than being overwhelmed by the puzzle. I have two slight reservations: I didn't care much for the background music and soon muted it, and I think that the game is best bought at a small discount in terms of value for money.1 found this helpful
