Brick Breaker Upgrade is an incremental idle game with a brick-breaker twist that players find either enjoyable or tedious depending on their tolerance for the genre. Praised for being short to complete (around 2-3 hours to 100%), solid progression, and decent value, the game is hampered by complaints about slow early progression, lackluster graphics, a frustrating final achievement that drags on after upgrades are complete, gamebreaking bugs like disappearing blocks, and a core mechanic that doesn't feel like a traditional breakout game.
Great Idler. I 100 precented it but for some reason my library is acting like I didn't.
would have been a mixed review if not for that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass ending. I got all upgrades like 30 minutes ago and I am stll waiting on the last achievement. Edit: my game is now bugged and the blocks have disappeared from my screen. A major disappointment.
Tried it for about 40 mins or so but just found it really dull. Doesn't really work like a Breakout game anyway.
29/29 achievements, review time. its pretty solid, give it a try. 2.5-3 hours to 100% plays like the usual pong game with a idle/incremental twist. progression or more of idle after about a hour, but its fine, doesnt take long to 100%. graphics could be better but has its retro feel to it. I didnt see any reason to not recommend it besides maybe progression is a little slow at the start but hey, isnt every incremental idle game like that? about 10 cents per achievement, you get your moneys worth. steam is still learning about the game so achievements dont count yet, hopefully soon.
Such a fun game!
