All Aboard! The Train Defense Express

Plenty of hours of gameplay if you're aiming for 100 percent. Rounds last anywhere from two seconds to twenty hours or more depening on your level of skill (Don't worry, you can save and leave....phew!). Enemies drop xp and points for upgrading carriages during rounds which give you weapons, and bosses drop chests for relics which buff gampelay. At the end of the round you'll have hopefully horded a bounty of tickets like a loot goblin, which can then be used for permament stats in the skill tree. An added bonus I thoroughly appreciated was unlocking better permament speed boosts--going for normal speed, to two, to five times speed. So that twenty hours of gameplay was really only four hours. Much better....

A very simple but fun game about having numbers go up. Its a tower defence game where you buy and upgrade traincarts with weapons on them, in order to survive and progress. All Aboard! The Train Defense Express is a roguelite tower defence game where each run you collect tickets that can unlock persistent upgrades for your next run. During a run you buy traincarts from a selection of 3 random ones, in a similar progression style as most bullet heaven games have (vampire survivors). If you have two of the same level traincarts, for example two machineguns of level 2. Then you get to merge them together into the next level traincart (3). Besides cart weapons there is some utility with slowing, gravity effects, and gold giving carts. Upgrades let you increase your income, or deal more damage with passive buffs. The goal is to prevent enemies from destroying the generator in the middle of the track. There are a few ways to play the game, but its quite linear like most similar games when it comes to what to go for next. The awful performance during longer runs is enough to not play this game. It's also really unbalanced and not well though out at higher levels. Unfortunate, because it's decent otherwise. Until it's balanced and optimized and doesn't run at 1 fps after a few hours, I can't recommend it.
