✦ AI summary

Idle Cultivation is an engaging and highly replayable idle game with well-integrated mechanics that keep players invested through multiple playthroughs and reincarnation cycles. However, the game suffers from notable technical issues including save data loss and bugs that cause game sections to randomly disappear, which frustrate players despite the game's otherwise compelling progression system. Some players also feel the tiered progression system is too restrictive for a cultivation-themed game.

I was thinking of dropping the game pretty quickly, but stuck it out to first reincarnation and started enjoying it more. Opened the game today and my save is gone. RIP, waste of time.

Figuring out the progression is fun.

decent game if you're lazy and enjoy seeing numbers go up, the community isnt active but there will still be people who help with your questions.

My sect is growing but they need me to beat a heavenly tribulation to survive the coming years, but my ♥♥♥♥♥ ass is too scared and underprepared to fight living lightening. 11/10 would pay again, add more funny cat photos to the air ships.

This game does not explain itself at all, and is not intuitive at all. I tried pretty hard to enjoy it because I usually like idle/incremental games, but it feels like it was designed with a companion wiki in mind and yet there isn't any sort of online compendium that offers you the information that you need to stop running blind. The in-game "guides" are poorly worded, unclear, and unhelpful. The UI isn't great either, but that would be tolerable to me if the rest of the game felt compelling. Some grinds are automated by default, some aren't, some consumables get used automatically, some don't, and sometimes your character will act autonomously (completing bounties for example, kind of), and sometimes he won't. The game also places big roadblocks in your way that require grind that doesn't actually further the number-go-up that idlers generally do; I'm stuck grinding resources to craft consumables to beat an encounter so I can continue "cultivating," and all of those tasks require significant waiting. If all that seemed vague, it's because the game is belligerently opposed to explaining itself. In conclusion, it's cheap, but even if it were free I wouldn't bother playing because…

Totally fun. Mechanics are well woven. Could use some better explanation but dev actively provides support on Discord. :fellow:
