Flee the Fallen, developed by AM Playhouse and published by GameEon Studios, is a side-scrolling action survival game that attempts to combine fast-paced combat with elements of resource management and platforming. Set in a bleak, infected world overrun by the undead, it places players in a constant state of movement, pushing forward through dangerous environments where stopping often means being overwhelmed. The premise is straightforward—survive, fight, and escape—but the experience it delivers is shaped heavily by how its systems interact, sometimes effectively and sometimes less so. The gameplay centers on progressing through linear levels filled with enemies and environmental hazards. Combat is frequent and forms the backbone of the experience, with players using a mix of melee weapons and firearms to deal with approaching threats. There is an intended rhythm to the action, where players must balance offense with positioning, deciding when to engage and when to retreat. On a basic level, this loop works, especially in short bursts, as it creates moments of tension where quick decisions determine survival. However, the mechanics behind it lack refinement, which becomes more no…

A solid game though sometimes the jumping between rooftops felt off, I had to roll then jump to make these jumps, other than that i wish the gun sounds had more punch to them but the gameplay overall was fun. if you played and liked "Lone Survivor" or "The coma" this one is worth taking a look at, especially since theirs a demo

Definitely not worth 9 dollars I dont even think it's worth your time tbh, there's some fun here it's a 2D Resident Evil basically, the controls are atrocious the game is buggy, the puzzles are wonky and barely function I had to stop playing after I got to a certain wiring one where it was just impossible to connect the wires because of the horrendous interface (click one side then the other should be simple but its so badly programmed that its not). I skimmed through a play through and saw that the same thing with that puzzle was happening there and no one could figure out what the hell it was doing. I also wish I had this developer's false sense of confidence because they put platforming sections where you jump across platforms with these atrocious controls where rocks are falling on you and there's bats to stun you in the middle of your jumps, and if you fall off its a one shot and you gotta start from the save 15 mins ago or whatever. I dont understand what theyre smoking if you want build an audience dont make horrible decisions like this, youre just limiting yourself because most normies and non normies are gonna play that and think it's bad. You can't survive off your fri…

EDIT: Save file issues caused the game to crash when I was trying to continue the game at the point where I was about to reach the endgame. I don't even want to bother contacting the developer if they are not even active in the Steam's discussion page. Now an AVERAGE action platformer. Not that bad, flawed in some sections that could be made better. Ironically, the platforming section can be the more lethal aspect of player deaths more than the zombies themselves. You WILL have multiple game overs from blind jumps that can be easily fixed with the ability to look ahead or below (lesser games has this, why does this game don't even have this?) using the right analog stick that seems to be unused and COULD be implemented. If you want to include platforming sections, the LEAST the game could provide is those rope grappling hook thingys for those difficult long jumps. The game is AVERAGE and COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. Unless the save file issue is not addressed, I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS.
