You've just moved away from your hometown into a wooden cabin some distant family member used to own. You were hoping to start on a new path in life. Already exhausted after moving in, you go to bed early.
When you wake up, something's terribly wrong. It's still night. The sky is bleeding strange colors. And you're not alone.DIAPAUSE Is a point-and-click, sit-and-survive style indie horror game inspired by digital, analog and alternative horror from the internet era. During the night, you'll have to fend off the vicious monsters, creatures and constructs that haunt the dreary cabin you were so unfortunate to inhabit, only armed with your wits and a faulty flashlight. Taking on a dark, haunting low-poly aesthetic along with immersive and spine-crawling sound design, be ready to stand your ground. Once the morning sun rises, you won't find rest quite yet. Relive long-forgotten memories in a mysterious location from your past. Explore your mind and solve puzzles in a 2d pixel art style. Uncover what is truly happening within the cabin - and outside of it. Perhaps the information you find while exploring will even help you while trying to survive.

Some of the nights were a little jank I felt I died to things that were out of my control but for a first game this really isn't bad. I'd recommend it for the story it presents. Check afterhourstheshow.com to see my playthrough in a bit.2 found this helpful

Yeah this game is pretty flipping tuff I would say I enjoyed playing it a lot definitely worth the money
This is a really good non-fnaf sit and survive game if you liked the deadseat you will enjoy this game a lot its very inspired by fnaf 4 and in my opinion is actually better than fnaf 4 it has a very intresting story as well as the quality of lots of modern sit and survives such as the treasure island game, playtime with percy, and fnaf 1 remake also one of the best parts of this game is that while it relies on audio cues there is an option for people with bad hearing (like me) that add visual cues instead I played this game when it first released and honestly I should have written a review sooner genuinely an underrated gem
I would agree that this is a good game however there are a few problems that I have that makes me believe this isn't worth 7 dollars. First of all, the plot is great and the mechanics/puzzles are fun. I haven't seen a game like this since the Deadseat. That is as far as I can go with praise. One character (I won't say who for spoiler reasons) becomes invisible if you don't shine a light first before shutting the door even though you know it's there. Another problem is if you hit ctrl to fast after dealing with a entity, your movie temporarily breaks leaving you for dead. Then there is the boss fight followed by the max mode. The nail in a coffin on why it's not worth 7 dollars. If you added a second max mode with everyone at once then it would at least give somewhat of a challenge. Max mode is just FNAF 4 night 6 but everyone was so predictable that I thought about doing it blindfolded. It also doesn't help that the big bad boss is so slow that I literally only died to it because of glitch which I had to figure out why. Lastly the extra menu options are lackluster.
