I really enjoyed this game! Meatlock is a beautifully hand drawn, point and click horror. It doesn’t have any in your face jumpscares but it does an excellent job at building tension. The only issue I had is my cursor disappeared a couple of times in the early part of the game. It can be worked around but it is a bit tedious. I am excited to see what the devs do next 🫶🏻 https://youtu.be/bDPWQvG3rME

I didn’t really know what to expect at first, but I ended up enjoying the experience quite a lot. The main strength of the game is definitely the atmosphere. The hand-drawn style gives it a raw, unsettling feel, and some of the visuals really stick with you. The doll sequences stand out in particular, they’re quite strange, but in a good way, and bring something you don’t often see in this kind of game. Gameplay-wise, it’s a pretty simple point & click. The puzzles aren’t very difficult, but that didn’t bother me. It feels more like moving through a strange place and slowly understanding what happened there than actually solving complex puzzles. The game is short (around 30 minutes), but the pacing is good and I didn’t get bored. There are a few small rough edges with the interactions, but nothing that really took me out of it. Overall, it’s a solid little horror experience with a strong visual identity. If you like atmospheric horror games that do things a bit differently, it’s worth checking out. The ending is pretty creepy. Score: 8/10 Overall: A short but memorable experience, driven by a strong artistic direction.

A morbid little 'story told around the campfire' point and click horror game.

Cute gruesome game with story and lovely art. I think it's a nice little dessert before bed.

First of all i want to start this review by stating this game in general is not bad. It's Actually Kind of neat. The experience of going through the house, witnessing all the horrific sights is actually a pretty exciting experience as i feel the atmosphere is pretty well constructed. This is Futher emphesized by the art style. Which is gourgeous. Each room being made with it's almost fountain pen style with a level of detail leaving each macabre sight a wonder to see. However this is where my biggest gripe with the game comes in. The game feel clunky. As this is best experienced at the start of the game where after leaving the starting room there is a lot of detail in the background and floor that could be interactable however it's not. Like the many nail looking objects on the floor. This followed by the first piece of gore which while beautiful. There is no indication that there is a key on it's eye socket. Then as one progresses further gameplay items start looking more tacked on. Instead of highlighted by the scenery. Like the numbers for codes or other interactable items. This wrapping around to the fact that the gameplay is not much, even for a point and click game. …
