This game is very charming and well-put-together. The egg rolling is quite engaging, and the various block shapes are used to make both low-speed to high-speed challenges. It's hard to explain, but the egg rolling really forces me to react and engage with it, while still being totally deterministic and masterable. And the level design of the main campaign and various maps explores so many geometric situations! Love the aesthetics of the game, especially the music. And, there's extensive custom editor and level support, including online multiplayer level editing (amazing???) and I have really enjoyed playing maps online with people. You can even help each other up ledges! If you like precision platformers, and this game looks intriguing to you, I definitely recommend it! I especially recommend playing the Oeuf Country map!

Pretty cool 3d platformer with a very simple twist -- you control an egg! The egg is uneven, so it rolls differently along different axes, and its center of mass shifts around, which complicates movement. It's an interesting skill to master. The game is pretty hard, sometimes even rage inducing (especially after 50 failures in a row lol). It features a well working online co-op and a very powerful level editor. There are quite a lot of great maps in the workshop already, some are larger than the main campaign itself. I think that levels play best when they have some space to work with and ways to utilize momentum. Small very precise jumps don't feel as good because of wonky physics, but some authors really like to add them.

At first, the movement is so alien and unwieldy, but the weight of the momentum makes rolling around and slamming into walls a joy. Then, you start to steady your aim & find ways to normalize movement. The egg still fights back, but you wrangle the contours of the movement into a clean sequence of jumps. Each new checkpoint forces you to reckon with brand new applications of momentum, rotation, and arcs. Every time you try a jump, your egg will naturally never be in the exact same orientation. Once you learn how to account for variability & hit jumps consistently, your mastery of the environment has only just begun. You begin to optimize for speed, to string moves together that previously felt inaccessibly precise. Even by looking at surrounding terrain while charting a path, you gain the ability to map out how the egg will leap, fall, and knock into surfaces. The act of pointing your egg in any direction at all transforms from feeling like RNG to being completely under one's control. No checkpoint ever gets to the point of feeling rote or stale; the slight bevels in every single tile in this game ensure every attempt feels unique.
