What Steam players say

✦ AI summary

Players praise this incremental game for having surprising depth and engaging mechanics beyond simple number upgrades, with plenty of content to discover and unlock as you progress. The main criticism is that it starts quite slowly and can feel somewhat repetitive, though the steady pace of new upgrades and destruction methods keeps most players engaged over many hours.

I hate recommending against games that were recommended to me... but oh my god, I cannot in good conscience recommend this. This game starts off extremely SLOW, like, I'm 1 hour in and it still feels like nothing is happening. Most of the options along the top aren't revealed, it's still boring waiting on things happening. It's just a lot of nothing happening and me being bored of waiting on it. The game occasionally autosaves, but instead of just being a quick boop autosaved, it takes about 5-10 seconds of you not being able to play because it's saving. There's not a lot of games I've turned autosave off for, but I did for this one. The game will frequently tell you to "Try a different tool..." Game, why don't you just automatically select the right tool? A lot of the early game time spent is just remembering what tool does what. And trying to work out the difference between the pick axe and the axe, because they do look extremely alike. Brown sticks with grey bits on the end... thanks, yes, I'm going to select the wrong one a lot. The monsters are awful, they block off all tiles around them and you can only access those tiles when you kill the monsters... Right, so... how do …

It's a fun game! Perhaps a bit slow at the start, but you'll eventually be clearing screens in seconds. More and more methods of destruction and improvement unlock as you progress, and it's not all just simple numeric bonuses.

This is the best incremental game I have ever played. That says a lot as I have played a ton of them! (A close second is Super Motherload, which I also very much recommend)

Hexisle was a great, fun game. Basically a simulated minecraft experience. There's some jank, a good bit of grinding, and some of the sub-mechanics didn't land with me, but overall I had a fun time with it and it is a fairly unique game mechanically.

Nice, chill game about breaking things. More depth than I expected.
