Pinball Spire

Pinball Spire is an amazing little game! It's short, sweet, and hits the right notes for a pinball style adventure game! There is so much to love about this game. The level design, art style, music, puzzles, and aesthetic of the game were perfect! The way in which you save your game is very unique and fits the vibe of the game perfectly. I think in many pinball games, the player just mashes the buttons, but in Pinball Spire, you actually have to think about where you're going to hit the ball. The powers you unlock are unique and add a lot of flavor to the game. The scouting tool is useful for certain levels where the objective is unclear upon entering. I found the game easy, but quite enjoyable. It is on the shorter side, perhaps even beatable in one long play session, but I think for the price point that is okay. Overall, it's a fun little game that is definitely worth playing!

Controls take me a bit to get used to with the great myriad of ingeniously useful abilities such as slow time for one. Once you get used to it the however, the game becomes really fun to play, both in victory and defeat, a real achivement for a solo developer. Congratulations to Aparition, and many thanks be provided unto him for providing steam with a long pinball game, one that feels much like a superbly vibrant pinball arcade machine in which you have unlimited credits, tokens or coins! <3

Very fun (and short!) pinball game. I don't have a whole lot of experience with more puzzle-heavy pinball games (apart from like, Sonic Spinball and Metroid Prime Pinball) but this was a nice little experience. Some of the boards were a bit obtuse in what I had to do to clear them, but I got through everything well enough.

I love when a game leaves me wanting more, but this game was particularly short. The gameplay is fantastic, the levels are fun, the whole concept of an adventure pinball game is fairly novel (except for Sonic Spinball I guess). The music is way better than it has any right to be. But I felt a little short-changed, even at 40% off. If the game retailed for half its price, and went on a further sale, I'd have no problems recomending it. Price aside, its a great little game and I'm keen to play the teased sequel.
