About The Pinball Wizard

Oh, young Apprentice! Atop the Mountain of Shadow, at the foot of the castle tower, the wisdom bestowed upon you shall come to pass. A pinball dungeon crawler awaits to test your skill!

Ascend the castle tower. Level up your skills. Fulfill your destiny. Become the wizard you were born to be!

The Pinball Wizard is a dungeon crawler pinball hybrid, and an arcade adventure game, where the main character is propelled into action by a set of flippers, like the ball in a pinball machine. Each level (dungeon) of the game is a contained area inside a tower. The goal of the game is to survive and get to the top of the tower alive.

Key Features:

  • Tower Mode: Climb a tower with twenty-one levels and defeat the big, bad, boss.
  • Dungeon Mode: Survive as long as you can in a giant dungeon.
  • Two Daily Dungeons: A randomized new dungeon, everyday!
  • Upgrade Skills: Unlock and maximize all 16 skills including Dash and Magic Orb.

This game now requires you to be online and proceeds to connect to about 30 servers globally. It's been a few months since I played it, so I don't know when the change came about, but I don't like it.

I'm willing to admit this 100% might be a skill issue but this was really tedious and boring. Felt like I was just re-trying levels over and over until I got lucky and beat a level. "Pinball with spells" and your only spells are dash or throw another orb. It just doesn't really deliver on that aspect, the wizard part is mostly pointless. The ball mechanics are so painfull too, it feels like rolling a ball through mud. I went out-of-bounds multiple times too, which just fully kills you. The final boss-fight is boring with how easy it is, but there's a few ways to insta-kill yourself very easily which makes it tedious. The normal enemies are also nothing exciting either. The 'rogue-like' upgrade system is annoying too, it has such number bloat (why is it 250,000 just make it 2500) and the upgrades are incredibly boring. It's just basic % up

https://youtu.be/bGK0lnxjxjA PROS - Pinball with an RPG Twist - Quirky Story - Under $10 - THE AMOUNT OF THE WHO REFERENCES - Endless amount of Content CONS - Can have Cheap Deaths - Physics and Enemies need to be worked on a little. - You might have to cheese the final boss This is a great little game and everyone should play it and if you don't sing pinball Wizard by The Who, you're not playing it correctly.

I Originally brought this game because it reminded me a lot about World flipper, a now out of service game that i loved to bits. I thought buying this would give me a similar feeling and it kinda did in a way. the thing that annoys me is that the game crashes a lot for no reason at all. Switching menus? Crashed. Dying in the game? Crashed. Upgrading skills? Crashed. It was very common for me and it ruined the vibe with me. And it isn't because my PC is bad. I have a very decent PC that can play games like Vintage Story on HIGH settings with no issues. The game is a little short too- i managed to finish the game in under 2 hours which for 9$ isn't worth the value. I'm sorry but this game is one of the few games ill be refunding. If this game didnt crash all the time I would have considered a positive review. In fact one play session I managed to play about 20 rounds without it crashing. Which actually made the game more enjoyable. but after that it just kept crashing. I even got angry DMS from people about me keep opening this game so much, thats how bad it is. Anyways this is the end of my review
