Kittens and Yarn

A nice little pipe puzzle game. The basic puzzles (here presented as tangled yarn) are accompanied by simple animations of kittens at play and sleep. There's a single song on the soundtrack, but it does its job just fine without becoming annoying. Accessibility notes: Controlled entirely by left mouse button, no gamepad available. There are no hints, but there's also no timer or move counter, so you can freely move pieces as much as you like without penalty. There's a level reset in the menu, as well as a game reset. It isn't colour-blind friendly, sadly. No audio cues or reading required.

It was cute at first, and then I just felt dumb. I found it difficult and it was definitely a nice time waster to stare at. Finished all the levels though! I liked (or hated) how a lot of strings had multiple "answers" so it just got harder once I was sure I had solved a specific string.

I've never played a game like this and am very hooked on the concept! The visual aesthetic fits so perfectly with the mechanics that it's almost like a 'smacks head oh duh' moment. I couldn't shut up as I played to the point my mom even bought - AND BEAT (before me!) - this game.

This game is great for unwinding (ha!) to, but be warned: at least for me, the later levels became challenging enough that I had to step away to get a fresh perspective on some of the tangles! The art is so cute and charming, and it was fun to the way they subtly changed each level despite it taking place in the same room.

At $2 you get your money's worth. It's not really ground-breaking or innovative, but it was a fun game to play while having a show on in the background.
